absolutley charming setting, but it would have been nice to have more toiletries available, not just a measly shower gel. oh, and being asked to remove my shoes, how quaint—almost like I was in someone’s home! guess I expected some special treatment, but that didn’t happen, so I just couldn’t give a good review.

I had a fantastic stay as a solo traveler for 1 night! My room was large and comfy, and the private bathroom was right outside with a powerful shower. Jenny made a great full English breakfast, and they even provided a portable heater since it was freezing outside. I’ll definitely be back! 😊

The vintage furniture in the bedroom added a unique charm, and the beds were surprisingly comfortable. The grounds, equipped with a beautiful lake and wildlife, provided a lovely backdrop for relaxation.
Navigating to the front door was confusing due to poor signage. a more prominent indicator would have been beneficial. Breakfast options were limited and the service was slow, leaving us unaware of available choices like fruit or cereal when we requested an early start. The separate bathroom lacked basic toiletries, which was a bit disappointing. we found it strange to be asked to remove our shoes to go upstairs. it felt overly homey for a place we were paying to stay in. I'd say there’s room for some enhancements.

This was just a prime choice for a trip in Atherstone with best value for money ratio. The hosts were welcoming, offering us milk for tea when we arrived late. Don't miss enjoying the lovely views of the lake during breakfast.

We had a fantastic time during our stay with friends. The hosts made us feel really at home, and we loved the beautiful surroundings, especially the nearby lake. Breakfast was top-notch, with a full English that hit the spot. If you're into nature, it's worth exploring the fields and ruins around too!
Just a heads up, I had a battery issue with my car, and while the family was super helpful, it was a bit stressful to deal with in the morning.

Had an amazing time here with a cozy, spacious room and lovely hot breakfast served right when we needed it. The garden area was a perfect spot for relaxing with a book, and the outdoor seating was delightful. Just a small note, it would have been nice to have an extra roll of toilet paper, but it didn't ruin our stay at all. 🌟 If you go, definitely enjoy the breakfast at the right time—you won't regret it!
